Campaigns
DDAL's campaigns are focused on federal legislation to protect
animals. Our current campaigns include Animal
Testing, Antifreeze Safety, Horse
Protection, Puppy Mills, Pet
Trusts, and Animal Friendly License
Plates.
Since 1987, DDAL has been at the forefront of legislative and
policy changes to promote non-animal and alternative tests.
Every year thousands animals are poisoned from ingesting antifreeze.
The Antifreeze Bittering Act is a federal bill that would help
prevent these poisonings.
Most Americans are horrified to learn our horses are being
slaughtered for dinner tables in Europe, and want the practice
banned. Take action to help pass a federal ban on horse slaughter
for human consumption.
A "puppy mill" is a facility that continuously breeds
female dogs, housing them and their puppies in deplorable conditions.
Find out how you can help stop puppy mills.
Find out why more and more Americans choose to create a pet
trust to ensure the well-being of their companion animals. Plus
resources to help you create a pet trust.
When drivers purchase "animal friendly" license plates
for their vehicles, money is set aside for spay/neuter funds.
Find out if these special plates are available in your state.
