The
Doris Day Animal Foundation's booklet on the violence link has
recently been updated and reprinted. Expanded to 16 pages, The
Violence Connection now contains new information on cross-reporting
between domestic violence, child abuse and animal welfare professionals,
as well as treatment options for animal abusers including the
AniCare intervention model developed by Psychologists for the
Ethical Treatment of Animals (PSYETA) and DDAF.
Originally developed for a target audience of judges and prosecutors,
The Violence Connection is a useful resource for mental health
professionals, social workers, members of the clergy, law enforcement
officials, and others wishing to learn more about the link.
You can receive a single copy of The Violence Connection free
of charge. Quantities of two or more are $1.00 each.
